The Mother Tree seems to be enslaving the elves, at least according to Saheila. After talking to the Elven Scion in front of the Heart of the Mother Tree Saheila talks to the player and asks them to kill the Mother Tree.
And there's also the Shadow Prince, who would love to see the tree dieing.
Who am I to deny their requests?
The fight was quite interesting, as many new opponents arrived later during the fight. The only downside is that the remaining elves in the temple do not seem to be that fond of their new freedeom and will attack you afterwards. Well... more XP and loot for me...
